The first garment from a pattern in my collection is this retro styled reversible dress. Once upon a time Simplicity released this pattern as a “Jiffy” pattern. They were right, I sewed it in a jiffy! For this dress, my daughter Mia volunteered to be my model. Of course, in exchange she got a new dress.
Mia chose some fun and retro styled bird fabric that reminds me of the Partridge Family. For the reverse side I decided to go with a solid turquoise for a more subtle look. But lets be real, who wouldn’t chose the fun of the Partridge Family side every time??
As you can see Pinkie, our dog is admiring the dress as much as we are!
And Mia already had matching shoes….This dress was fun to make, and I would definitely make it again. But as for me…onto the next!
