Last but not least, the final outfit for my impromptu trip to Disneyland. I chose this patterns from 1972. It seemed easy enough, and I thought I could put it together quickly.
I chose this Monster’s Inc. fabric that was in my collection, after all, there is a Monster’s Inc. ride in California Adventure that it would match!
As I suspected, it went together easily enough!
I decided to go with a solid turquoise for the pockets of my dress.
Mia had time to make me some matching ears and we were off to ride the first official ride at Disneyland, the tram.
Of course, we parked in the right section that matched my dress!
They must have known I was coming! HA!
We went straight to the Monster’s Inc. ride!
The early bird gets the pictures with no other people in it!
On our way to Monstropolis!
“I sew because I care.”
I love this picture because you can see Mia and Elizabeth in the reflection. Both of them taking pictures to make sure we got the shot! They’re dedicated!
Day two of Disney had me tired, and not wanting to do my hair. It shows! HA!
“Buying” a newspaper.
On the ride! Me and a blurry Sully!
Enjoying the ride, and my themed dress!
The Disney black light test, I passed!
Mike Wazowski being stunned at my cute dress!
“I’m watching you, Wazowski. Always watching. Always.”
There were cute doors all over the park that matched my dress!
No scaring kids in this dress, all I got were compliments!
Frozen treat? Don’t mind if I do!
It’s lemon flavored! LOL!
Mia and I ran into another fashion designer, Edna Mode, from The Incredibles! She was glad we didn’t have capes!
But for me this picture says it all! Mia and myself, dressed in our one of a kind dresses. We are indeed, fashion!
So this wraps up our trip to the Magic Kingdom. I was glad that I decided to drop everything, sew, and go! Hobbies are fine and all, and so are custom pieces. But it’s the experiences you have while wearing something that makes life worthwhile!
So enjoy the people you have, and go do something fun!
As for me, onto the next!
Love that dress!
Best ever! Love it so much with you and Mia together…memories… cherish them!
A great trip topped off with great outfits! Brilliant sewing job Nicole, great modelling/photos Mia!
