Princess Kristen And The Fashion Quest

I guess the third time’s a charm! Yes, this is the third time I am making this dress pattern. I made it in two different views for Mia.

If you’ll remember back to my previous post, “My Little Mermaid Becomes Part Of Their World”, I explained that right before Mia got a job offer in Georgia, she had made plans to go to Disneyland with her friend from college. I made Mia this dress featuring Ariel fabric, and her friend Kristen requested the same pattern, but with this Disney Princess fabric.

Being able to sew means always being able to be extra!

Thus begins the tale of Princess Kristen and the Fashion Quest! Princess Kristen was a college friend to Princess Mia, and girl on a quest to be the best dressed in the Magical Kingdom of Disneyland.

Princess Kristen knew she could not sew herself. To assist her on her quest, she enlisted the help of a seamstress with magical powers. What were these powers you ask? The seamstress had the determination to sew every pattern in the kingdom. (Yes, determination is a power.)

In Princess Kristen’s fashion quest, she needed a fabric that was versatile. She chose this one that features more than one Disney Princess.

Princess Kristen’s magical seamstress was pinning and sewing in a frenzy.

The seamstress was working hard, spinning this fabric into a dress when…

A cursed pin stabbed her in the cuticle! The threat of blood ruining the dress was at hand! Just then…

….the song of the three Princes from Gibb filled the seamstress’ ears. She knew she had to heed the warning of their song, and keep this tragedy from happening.

*ok, I was sewing and listening to my ipod, and at the moment I started bleeding, this is what was playing. Potential tragedy indeed. But back to the fairy tale.

The seamstress quickly wrapped her finger in an enchanted, sewing themed band aid. The dress was saved!

Princess Kristen received her dress, and off to the Magical Kingdom of Disney she went! Of course, a proper princess never forgets her tiara.

The fountains leapt with joy at the sight of such a magical dress! The flowers in their pots straightened themselves, for they knew they were in the presence of the most beautiful dress that had ever entered the kingdom.

The bronze man and mouse of the kingdom smiled with glee!

Princess Kristen had fulfilled her quest, she was no doubt, the best dressed in the kingdom!

And of course, no magic ensemble these days is complete without a matching mask!

The kingdom rejoiced that day at such a fashion triumph. Princess Kristen had fulfilled her quest, dazzled all in the kingdom, and had a magical experience while doing it.

As for the magical seamstress, she survived her injuries and lives to tell the tale, and also is….
